DC/AC Sine Wave Inverters Railway Applications

The RSI150 is rugged DC/AC inverter is designed for a variety of Rail applications and designed to meet EN50155.It uses field-proven, microprocessor controlled high-frequency PWM technology to generate 150VA output power with pure sine wave output voltage. It is a mature design with a track record in numerous Rail & Industrial applications.The DC/DC input stage boosts the input voltage to a higher DC voltage, which feeds the DC/AC inverter to generate the required AC output.The use of high-frequency conversion enables a compact construction, low weight and high efficiency. The unit has full electronic protection. The input and output are filtered for low noise. Cooling is via baseplate to a heatsinking surface and by natural convection.

Rugged Mechanical Designs

Helios power supplies are ruggedly constructed and can be customized for specific mechanical requirements. Standard mechanical packages and ruggedization options include:
  • Chassis and wall-mountable units in vented conduction/convection or fan-cooled enclosures
  • DIN-rail and open-frame format available for many designs
  • Plug-in (Eurocard) format for modular power systems in 19 inch or 23-inch racks
  • Conformal coating and ruggedizing are standard
  • Full encapsulation (potting) in a thermally conductive MIL-grade silicon rubber compound with UL94V-0 flammability rating for immunity to high levels of shock and vibration, humidity, moisture, dust, salt, oil, insects and other contaminants
  • Enclosure in rugged, IP66- or IP67-rated waterproof, dustproof and explosion-proof die-cast aluminium packages. These enclosures also protect internal electronic boards from condensation and the ingress of oil, salt, sand, insects and other environmental contaminants
