JVA15 – Solar DC/DC Converters: 15 W

Helios Power Solutions releases a range of DC-DC converters with input range of 200-1500VDC for renewable energy & industrial applications.

Mainly targeted for renewable energy systems, where significant savings can be made by series connection of solar arrays (lower losses, reduced size cable thickness etc). The JVA15 and JVA40 series of DC/DC converters have an ultra-wide range of 200 to 1500VDC.This allows them to be connected to solar panel as they can accept the full output voltage (and huge variations) from these solar arrays.

The JVA series are not just suitable for solar arrays. The wide input range and isolation levels make them suitable for use a wide variety of other industrial & transport applications. Applications on board Trams can be now taken directly off the 600VDC supply when a low dc voltage is required. Stepping down from 415VAC applications (with the use of a bridge rectifier) to provide dc control & signal voltages.

Available with DC outputs of 5V, 12V, 15V & 24VDC, with output power from 10 to 40Watts.

They feature high isolation voltage of 4,000VAC, tightly regulated output and meet safety standard EN62109 (Photovoltaic Power Systems).

The fully encapsulated modules have a plastic case, low profile, and offer PCB mount for the standard models or screw terminals for the DIN rail option. Both power ranges of the JVA series measure 125mm x 75mm x 40.mm, the optional DIN rail mount models 129mm x 102mm x 49mm.The JVA series are convection cooled and can operate over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +70°C.
