SynQor was founded in October 1997 by MIT professor Dr. Martin F. Schlecht, who believed that a technology known as “synchronous rectification” would revolutionize the decades old industry of DC-DC power converters. The introduction of SynQor’s first open-frame, high-efficiency power converters in 1999 garnered widespread industry attention and praise. SynQor promptly began full scale manufacturing in its original Hudson, MA, facilities and soon were selling products throughout the world. Its expanding product line grew as fast as its list of customers, allowing SynQor to achieve critical mass and build on its early success.
Today SynQor operates on a global scale from its 100,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters in Boxborough, MA. Its manufacturing facility is AS9100 and ISO9001 certified and offers an exceptional illustration of U.S.-based manufacturing that incorporates state of the art automation technology and quality control. The MilQor series of Mil-COTS DC-DC converters brings SynQor’s field proven high-efficiency synchronous rectification technology to the Military/Aerospace industry. SynQor’s ruggedized encased packaging approach ensures survivability in demanding environments. Compatible with the industry standard format, these converters operate at a fixed frequency, and follow conservative component derating guidelines. They are designed and manufactured to comply with a wide range of military standards.
SynQor’s Military-Grade Uninterruptible Power Supply units are designed for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of Military/Aerospace applications. SynQor’s UPS incorporates field proven high efficiency designs and rugged packaging technologies. This UPS will accept a wide range of input voltage and frequency values while delivering a well-conditioned AC output to the load. The use of lithium ion batteries permits the lowest profile and lowest weight solution in its power class. It is designed and manufactured in SynQor’s USA facilities to comply with a wide range of military standards. Options include two DC outputs, a DC input rated for military 28 VDC sources, and an electronic breaker on the AC output to permit fault-tolerant parallel operation for higher power and/or N+M redundant systems.
The MCOTS NiQor® half-brick DC-DC converter is a non-isolated buck-boost regulator which employs synchronous rectification to achieve extremely high conversion efficiency. The High Input Voltage MCOTS NiQor Brick family of converters can be used in traditional DPA (distributed power architecture) systems or provide a regulated output voltage from a battery source or other variable voltage source. The MCOTS NiQor Brick family can be configured to Buck the input voltage down to a lower voltage or Boost the input voltage up to a higher voltage using a single external resistor.
SynQor’s Military Inverter units are designed for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of Military/ Aerospace applications. SynQor’s MINV “Field-Rugged” family of rack-mount products incorporates field proven high efficiency designs and rugged packaging technologies. This MINV will accept a DC input voltage while delivering a well-conditioned AC output to the load. It is designed and manufactured in SynQor’s USA facilities to comply with a wide range of military standards. Options include a selection of output voltage amplitudes, frequencies, configurations that provide a single output, three single-phase outputs, or a 3-Phase output, and an electronic breaker on the AC output to permit fault-tolerant parallel operation for higher power and/or N+M redundant systems.
